Canadians are challenged to try as many of the activities on the list as they can to get moving more, sitting less and for chances to win great prizes. The Market has three activities planned for Canada Day. Starting at 11 a.m., Scott Mitchell will perform some of your favourite Canadian hits. At noon, Artists on Elgin will be announcing the winners of their Capture Sudbury postcard photo competition, and they will be on-hand all day selling the chosen designs. And at 1 p.m. Ojibwe b-boy Curtis Kagige, B-boy Red Sky, will perform a break dancing demo and workshop. Also, thanks to the generosity of many vendors Old Soul Soap Company will be raffling off a fabulous Canada 150 Market gift basket!

L’action communautaire Enfants en santé parraine les Centres pour les jeunes du Grand Sudbury, le YMCA, ainsi que d’autres partenaires d’Enfants en santé en vue de tenir des activités hebdomadaires amusantes et gratuites dans des gymnases et des installations un peu partout dans la ville. Les employés sympathiques seront sur les lieux en vue d’aider à organiser toute une gamme d’activités en fonction des intérêts des enfants de ce groupe d’âge. Les enfants auront l’occasion d’essayer des nouveaux sports, des nouveaux jeux et des nouvelles activités et, bien sûr, de profiter de leurs favoris : basketball, danse hip-hop, randonnée, hockey en salle, yoga, planche à roulettes, pickle ball, ballon chasseur, etc.! Nous procurerons de l’équipement, des instructions, des collations nutritives, de la camaraderie et du plaisir en vue d’encourager la communauté à Faire bouger les préados!
